🎣⛵️ FSV Tranquilo

⛵️🎟️ The first big trip

Buy the ticket, take the ride.

When I started this process a few months ago, I didn't really know what it would look like when I was there. I didn't have a particular plan, but I had finally got 99% of what I needed on the boat for a good trip. When good winds and weather came together, I set out on my first full trip across the lake. Over two days I put my yacht through almost all of the sea trials a new captain could face. I feel awesome having got through it without major incident. Despite having to single hand the boat, I managed to catch a few fish and spent the night in a beautiful anchorage for the first time.

Life the past year has been INCREDIBLY challenging, and the boat project has been a breath of fresh air. More than just a diversion and distraction, it's become a newfound source of belief in myself. Belief that I can get through whatever comes my way, and starting to tolerate the uncertainty of life. It's a lot eaiser to do that when you feel confident that you can handle whatever you are up against.

With Tranquilo by my side and wind in my sails, I have never felt more certain that now was the right time to take that ticket. It's been the ride of my life, truly the most incredible adventure I've ever been on. I can't wait for the next one, I hope you come along.
