Welcome to the journal and archive of record for FSV Tranquilo, a 26ft 1976 Pearson sailboat manufactured in Rhode Island.
Tranquilo was listed for sale on Craigslist by a nice gentleman named Ryan. He had upgraded to a larger ship to accommodate his family, and this combined with my life situation found all the planets in alignment for an incredible opportunity.
I bought the yacht (don't call it a boat!) in 2025 while dealing with divorce and a sick parent. The adventure this summer is a journey to re-discover myself, spend more time on the lake, and enjoy quality time with my friends and family during this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to do something like quit my job and buy a sailboat again. I hope you enjoy, and I appreciate all your support, views, subs, comments and positivity. I'm gonna have as much fun and get really weird with it with whatever time I have left on this crazy journey we call life.
