This is the beginning of the FSV Tranquilo project, by Mat Gilbert and VT2U / Verticaltubejig.
Tranquilo is a 26ft 1976 Pearson 26 sailboat made by the Pearson Yachts company in Rhode Island
She was owned by a few people, most recently Ryan. Looking to upgrade to make his family more comfortable, he listed Tranquilo for a reasonable price and it was the right moment in time.
After a survey to make sure everything was in order, the boat was purchased and Mat started the process of fixing a few small items and repainting the bottom. After the longest wait in the history of the universe, the boat was delivered to the dock at Point Bay Marina and the story began...
