šŸŽˆšŸ“† Float Day Prep

Now that the bottom paint has been completed, I have turned my attention to getting the boat ready to float.

First part of float prep was scrubbing the top of the boat. When I got to the yard to start work I noticed a small crack in the paint on the hull, picking at it a little paint flaked off but not too much. Walking around the boat I found a few extra spots that required some more paint, so I realized I'd have to go back to get them after the scrubbing.

After the scrub was done I went down and redid as much of the small touchup spots as I could. My effort will be worth it with the bottom paint when it saves me time / scrubbing of the hull over the course of the season.

The float forecast is not looking great, as it's been raining off and on the past few days. I am hopeful I'll be able to use the rain day tomorrow (Saturday) to scrub and vacuum some of the inside of a few areas of the boat while I have access to shore power.
